Not Fit to be a Clean Eating Machine

20140416-194616.jpgSummer is upon us and the goal to get a summer body can be as fickle as new years resolutions. I’ve seen a lot of my friends put in some real work and it’s truly inspiring to see their before and after pictures. The last 3 weeks I’ve bumped it up and notch and it has been non-stop working out, eating healthier, and constantly turning down offers to go out or hang out with friends. Everything social revolves around food and drink. I should know. In observance of lent (I’m not even Catholic), I gave up fast food and soda. In preparation for Vegas, I gave up just about everything else and let me tell you… it is hard as hell. Many kudos to the clean eating machines out there. I don’t know how you guys do it.

Strawberries and celery for a snack. Steamed broccoli and grilled chicken for the main course.

While I have been making better and healthier choices, my trainer wants me to take it to the next level and wrote out a diet plan for me based on my daily schedule. It’s basically starvation, but I agreed to try at for a week. Maybe two. I’m on Day 2 and I’ve already cheated. I like food too much and sure as hell miss bad (but really good) carbs. Hardcore diets are not for me and I’m fine with that.

Here’s the diet plan and schedule from hell (and apparently for people who want to do those body competitions):

6am: One scoop of whey protein
6:05am: CARDIO
7am: One scoop of protein
10am: 3 oz of chicken, 2.7 oz of veggies
1:30pm: 2-3 stalks of celery, 4oz of low fat cottage cheese
5pm: 3 oz of chicken, 2.7 oz of veggies
545pm: WORKOUT
730p,: 7 egg whites, 2.7 oz of veggies

Ridiculous right?!
