Urban Taco serves up disappointment

The West Village Uptown area is oversaturated with Tex-Mex restaurants. You’ve got Glorias, Mi Cocina, Taco Diner, Urban Taco, and Primos. While the drinks are great, the food (except for Glorias)- not so much. I attended a happy hour celebrating my coworkers move up in the world of media buying and the Urban Taco on McKinney Ave boasted a pretty sweet patio. It was also a pretty perfect day. Must…take…advantage. I got the 3 taco platter, of which you could pick any 3 of your choice. I ordered the Al Pastor (pulled pork), Chicken tinga, and some beef tacos. None were that impressive. There was just a huge lack of flavor and a balance of seasoning. Sadface. I’ll stick to the sketchy taco stands from here on out.
